Résumé

Ph. D. from Harvard University in Chemical Physics (1969)
Started at UAH in 1982

Academic Experience

Teach courses in general and physical chemistry.

Research Interests

My efforts, which are largely theoretical, are directed toward questions on the border between chemistry and materials science. Since experiment is the final arbiter of the success of theory, I work closely with an experimental physical chemist, Dr. John Clunie. Although some of our students concentrate solely on theory and others solely on experiment, we encourage all of them to perform an experiment and analyze the data using a theory of their own devising.
